Chamberlyns is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Our registration numbers are 183524 (Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire office) and 142468 (Leicestershire office) and you can check Chamberlyns’ details on the Financial Services Register by visiting www.fca.org.uk or by calling 0800 111 6768.

Complaints Procedure

We are very proud to have a reputation for providing a quality service to our clients and will strive to ensure this continues to be the case. If, however, you have a reason to be disappointed in us, such that you wish to make a complaint, naturally we would deal with it effectively and fairly in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's complaint handling rules and guidance.

Regulatory Protection

As with all of Chamberlyns’ clients, you will be classified as a ‘Retail Client’ in order that you are afforded the highest possible level of regulatory protection. As such, if you cannot settle any complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) provides consumers with a free, informal and independent service to help settle disputes with financial firms. Accordingly, if our clients are not satisfied with the outcome of any complaint, they will have the right to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, free of charge, at The Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London E14 9SR, or by going to their website www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

If a complaint is upheld, FOS will aim to restore the correct position, which might include instructing the firm to make good a client's losses, up to £150,000.

If you do not accept a FOS decision, however, you may choose to pursue the complaint through the courts, which will decide cases formally on the basis of law and can award unlimited compensation.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Our clients receive an additional level of protection via our Professional Indemnity Insurance policy, which can help Chamberlyns to meet any claim for compensation / damages we become legally liable to pay.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)

We are also covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type and circumstances of the claim, but you will receive exactly the same protection as if you were working with a much larger institution.
